Lisha Hartgrove was born and raised in Queens NY .Both of Lisha's parents were also filmmakers as she grew up on the camera. At 7 years old Lisha Hartgrove Started out as a Young Girl holding the camera and directing her own films. It was always her passion to become a famous Director or the next female Spike Lee and Tyler Perry. Along her journey at the age of 23 Lisha started her own film production company LISHA ENTERPRISES. From there she started to film and direct music videos for upcoming Indie artists. During that time Lisha’s name was spreading and was known for being one of the best female video directors. In 2012 she started working at Vibe magazine and Uptown magazine where she Interviewed many celebrities on the Red carpet , private showcases, interviews, Radio and more.

 

In 2013 while still working for VIBE, Lisha started working at G-UNIT RECORDS as one of their Videographers and editors for THISIS50.COM. She started working with G-units Celebrity artist Precious Paris as her main Video Director, shooting and directing her music videos.

 

In 2014 She started working with Jack Thriller as a host interviewing music artists and celebrities that came on the show and was in charge of directing the behind the scenes reality show of every episode. 

 

In 2015 She was then nominated for Videographer of the year as well as honored in the “We Run The Streets Philly Hip hop awards” Ceremony in Philadelphia. From  2016-2018 Lisha then went on to Direct and produce her Web Series entitled L.I.P.S (Love inside Prevails) along with her very good close friend Michelle Hall Executive Producer & Writer. Together the two partnered up to tell the story of Michelle’s life on screen and started LIPS WEB SERIES on Youtube. LIPS went on to be very successful gaining a huge fan base and was awarded one of the top 20 Web Series to watch on Youtube. They were also nominated Two years in a row in 12 different categories for “ Urban Web Series awards” In Queens NY where they won best custom stage. LIPS was a huge highlight for Lisha’s career  where she got her slogan “ LISHA GETS THE SHOT” and where she debuted her first acting role in it as AUNT KIM and really showcased what she was able to do on screen and Directing behind the camera. but Lisha didn’t just stop there.

 

In 2018 Lisha then went on to direct her first movie “ THE GREY AREA” Written by Donald “ X-Yle” Patterson. In 2019 Lisha started working at Elmhurst hospital as a Personal Representative in Human Resources. Not too long after we had the 2020 Pandemic and During the pandemic Lisha didn’t let that time slow her down as she wrote over 10 films during the lockdown including her Feature Film  “UNKNOWN”  that she also Directed & Executive Produced. “UNKNOWN” was written in real time as we went through that horrible moment in history. 

 

Elmhurst was known as the epicenter of the Virus for NY and Lisha worked in HR ensuring to hire as many respiratory aides, nurses, doctors, Mortuary technicians and many other positions that was a need during those trying times. After the Covid ended Lisha elevated with two job promotions at Elmhurst hospital leaving HR and she’s now in External Affairs as Elmhurst only Videographer, Photographer & Graphic designer. She has designed the hospital's advertisement that's on the sides of the building, lamp post and windows. She also creates plenty of other story telling videos and photos at Elmhurst Hospital. 

 

In the fall of 2021 Lisha got her first major distribution deal with Maverick Movies. In just 2022 alone Lisha has Written, Filmed and produced on over 10 projects all being released on streaming platforms. In 2022 she also created and produced a talk show called “HIGH TALKS” which is currently on youtube but set to hit the streaming platforms very soon. She even won Video Director of the year in the “Pre Game Radio” awards ceremony.

In 2023 Lisha has released 5 films on Tubi, Amazon prime and peacock which are Dollhouse, Escapecation, When Girls Ride, The Grey Area & LIPS. She has a clothing line and film streaming platform called “VEIL” Which will be released at a later date. Lisha’s journey doesn’t end here as she is always creating and planning her next project.
